General Tso’s is a locally owned Chinese-American restaurant and catering kitchen at 4957 Winters Chapel Rd Suite B in Atlanta’s Dunwoody area. We cook fresh, made-to-order food for dine-in, takeout and delivery, and we cater office lunches, meetings, schools and events across Metro Atlanta.
Patrick Cheng started General Tso’s in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, by turning a struggling take-out shop into a fast, reliable catering kitchen. He saw that offices still needed group meals, but most small restaurants weren’t built for speed, scale and consistency.
With a degree in Business Administration and years in food supply and logistics, Patrick brought a supply-chain mindset to the kitchen: standardized portions, labeled pans and stations, heat-holding standards, and delivery routes planned around Atlanta traffic. The result is a kitchen of about 800 square feet that can produce more than 200 meals an hour and feed a few dozen or a few hundred people with the same consistency.
In December 2021 the restaurant opened its doors on Winters Chapel Rd, next to Walmart Neighborhood Market, so neighbors can dine in, pick up or order delivery late into the night.

General Tso’s is a local brand with local roots. Patrick and the team have donated more than 19,000 meals to schools, nonprofits and community groups. Through NextGen Impact Georgia, Patrick supports immigrant founders and local youth with business basics, mentorship and small grants, and the company partners with local chambers of commerce, including the Gwinnett and Sandy Springs Perimeter chambers, to support small businesses.
